Register with the tax office and file VAT

The DGID assigns the NINEA and receives the declaration of existence. The company then files its taxes, including VAT.

NINEA: about 3 days. Declaration of existence: within 20 days of opening or starting activity. Without it, the fine is 200,000 FCFA.

NINEA: free, apart from a 2,000 FCFA tax stamp.

Steps

Get the NINEA, the company identification number, through APIX or the tax service centre.

File the declaration of existence at the competent tax service centre within 20 days.

File and pay taxes online on SENTAX, the DGID platform.

Apply VAT at the standard rate of 18%.
