CHIRPS (Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data) combines satellite imagery and rain gauges to produce gridded rainfall estimates, useful for drought monitoring. 0.05 degree resolution, 50°S to 50°N, from 1981 to near-present. Public domain data.
